After all, what could be more cosy than sitting on the sofa with a purring cat?<\/p>\n<p>However, if one can no longer have much contact with animals, for example in a reti\u00adre\u00adment home or on a dementia ward, some\u00adtimes stuffed animals are offered as a substi\u00adtute. Mean\u00adwhile, not only conven\u00adtional stuffed cuddly animals are moving in, but their robotic advance\u00adments. These react to touch, move\u00adment or voice, they purr, bark or meow and some of them are able to move. This is made possible by sophisti\u00adcated sensor, move\u00adment and vibra\u00adtion tech\u00adno\u00adlogy. The trend emerged in Japan, but by now Robocat and Co. are also moving into more and more care faci\u00adli\u00adties here in Germany. Of course, such robots can never replace real human care. But it can be a tool for inter\u00adac\u00adtion and moti\u00adva\u00adtion.
