The media were less inte\u00adrested in its use in type 2 diabe\u00adtics \u2014 semaglutide has been approved for this indi\u00adca\u00adtion in Europe since 2018 under the drug name Ozempic \u2014 than in its use as a \u201clife\u00adstyle drug.\u201d This is because, accor\u00adding to studies, with the so-called \u201cweight loss injec\u00adtion,\u201d an average weight reduc\u00adtion of around 15 percent of the initial weight is possible even in non-diabetics.<\/p>\n

Tirze\u00adpa\u00adtide appears to be supe\u00adrior to semaglutide in weight loss: severely over\u00adweight diabe\u00adtics lost about 27 percent of their initial weight after 12 weeks of an intro\u00adduc\u00adtory diet and life\u00adstyle changes with tirze\u00adpa\u00adtide admi\u00adnis\u00adtra\u00adtion over 72 weeks. Tirze\u00adpa\u00adtide has been approved as an anti\u00addia\u00adbetic since September 2022, and a marke\u00adting autho\u00adriza\u00adtion appli\u00adca\u00adtion has already been submitted for the obesity indication.<\/p>\n
